![]() The Skillman Foundation is accepting proposals to provide funding up to $200,000 for a one-year grant to fund collaborative partnerships working to provide learning and development programs for Detroit's youth. With an emphasis on organization's working together, the applicant must partner with at least one other organization, including nonprofits, schools, government agencies, libraries, community centers, etc. The foundation acknowledges the vast amount of organizations in Detroit working to improve outcomes for its youth, and believes that working together will increase positive impacts to the community. Applicants must provide year-round programming that provides one of the following: 1. Scaled high-quality activities: A high-quality activity provider could partner with an institution to scale that activity across multiple sites throughout the city to expand access to high-quality activity. 2. Deep youth engagement: Two or more providers or a provider and an institution with complimentary youth development and/or academic enrichments could partner to create a continuum of youth development programming for a set of youth who will participate consistently over the course of an academic year and summer. Applicants must provide services within Detroit, and to Detroit youth. Interested organizations working outside of Detroit may apply when partnering with a local organization.
