![]() The Foundation for Contemporary Arts (FCA) encourages, sponsors and promotes contemporary, experimental art. The Foundation is accepting Emergency Grants applications to provide urgent financial support to visual and performing artists who have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public and not enough time to secure other funding. The grants also help cover unexpected or un-budgeted expenses for projects close to completion that already have exhibition or performance dates already in place. The Foundation receives about 80 applications monthly, and awards 12-15 grants between $500 and $2,500 each. Applications are received on a rolling basis to meet artists' last minute needs. It is recommended that artists apply 6-8 weeks before your presentation date, but not more than 8 weeks in advance. FCA does not fund projects that have already happened or reimburse expenses already paid. Visit the FCA website for eligibility requirements and more information on the types of projects that can be funded by the grant. Comments are closed.
