Adults age 21 and older may nominate a student age 6 - 18 (as of March 13, 2015) for the Kohl's Cares Scholarships, which include $10,000, $1,000 and $50 winners. Students must not yet be high school graduates and the nomination should focus on the student's volunteer activities over the past year and out comes of their efforts. The DuPont Challenge essay competition for students in grades 6-12 focuses on scientific and technological developments that create solutions to pressing global challenges. Essays of 700 to 1,000 words may be submitted through February 9, 2015 in the following four categories:
Also, new in 2015, elementary students are included in a special contest this year. An elementary school storybook or presentation on a STEM topic for K-5 students is due March 1, 2015.
