A Call to Men, a national men's leadership organization based in New York, is requiring men and boys to have a primary voice and responsibility in the work to address violence against women and girls. A project of the Tides Center, A Call to Men was founded by Ted Bunch and Tony Porter - both educators, authors and activists addressing issues of violence and male socialization.
The organization offers free downloadable curriculum for middle and high school students which can complement existing mentoring programs for boys. In addition, they offer training, special events and engagements with the goal of creating a responsible community of men who have been socialized to value women and girls and who are committed to keeping them safe.
