Lowe's Charitable and Education Foundation will offer grants of $5,000 to public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with such schools. The grants support projects which encourage parent involvement in local schools and help build community spirit. Typical projects may include a facility enhancement, landscaping, clean-up projects or to support larger scale projects that will be completed within 12 months of the award date.
Parent groups who wish to apply (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Preschools are not eligible. The foundation will award up to 1,500 grants. The Lowe's Toolbox for Education Program Spring 2015 grant cycle deadline is February 13, 2015 11:59pm EST. For complete information, click here.
