The New York Women's Foundation funds organizations and programs in the five boroughs of New York City that seek to move women and girls toward long–term economic security. The NYWF will provide general operating and program-specific support to organizations whose constituencies are primarily women and girls living at or below the poverty level. Grants range in size from $50,000 to $70,000.

To be eligible, applicants must be an emerging and/or small nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with an annual operating budget under $2 million and must be located in or operate within the five boroughs of New York City and have been in existence for at least six months.
